Code in the Dark is a frontend competition in which participants are given a design (only an image), and with it they have to write the HTML and CSS to produce a website that is as accurate as possible without previewing their changes.
I found out about this event (the original idea is from Tictail) by pure coincidence while searching for text editors, since there is one exclusively made for Code in the dark. I instantly thought -why not?- and showed it to a couple of workmates. We contacted the creators, and because this was an ‘open’ event we were free to make our own version of it. It was the most fun I’ve ever while coding!
